DISCOVER HORSES THAT HEAL
Gateway HorseWorks delivers a revolutionary approach to mental health, trauma, and addiction treatment to champion recovery and transform lives. We are pioneers, transcending the limits of talk therapy to help people overcome their struggles through the healing power of horses. Every day we serve survivors of trauma, justice-involved youth and adults, veterans with post-traumatic stress, as well as those facing addiction or experiencing anxiety, depression, and grief. We aspire to overcome barriers of mental health oppression, poverty, class, and race to make equine-assisted psychotherapy accessible to all populations, and to rebuild human connections and pathways to sustainable recovery.
PROVIDE RECOVERY FOR ALL
We will incorporate horses for the mental health treatment of those most in need, build strong partnerships with like-minded organizations, and expand our current programming to heal, grow, and sustain communities, individuals, and families recovering from mental health conditions, trauma, grief, addiction, oppression, and abuse. We believe accessibility to mental health care should not be based upon the ability to pay. We will offer greater financial assistance to ensure all individuals and families get the help they need, and will continue to support the ongoing, impactful work of our community partners through our existing groundbreaking programs.
BLAZE NEW TRAILS
We aim to not just make a difference in our own community, but to tackle systemic mental health oppression nationally in collaboration with government agencies, community organizations, and centers for mental health. We will add to the growing research supporting the success of equine-assisted psychotherapy, and partner with universities to collect data and analyze program outcomes. We envision a replicable and scalable model to deliver treatment in innovative ways, across diverse populations, including pre-release prisoners, veterans, and human trafficking survivors.
