Stable PathwaysStable Pathways is a trauma-informed equine-assisted psychotherapy program that began in 2015. At its inception this program was specifically designed for women in the Chester County Women’s Reentry Assessment & Programming Initiative (WRAP) to address anxiety, depression and hopelessness. In 2019, this program expanded to serve people incarcerated on-site at the Pre-Release Center at the Chester County Prison Complex. The permanent pasture on the facility grounds enables our herd of horses to travel to the prison weekly providing free, meaningful access to mental healthcare and treatment through equine-assisted psychotherapy. Stable Pathways is an 8-week group program where the focus ranges from trust and communication to boundaries and respect. |
