Heather Gaglione more than fifteen years of professional equine experience to Gateway HorseWorks, with a career rooted in exceptional horse care, barn management, and thoughtful leadership. Her background spans private and commercial facilities specializing in dressage, eventing, fox hunting, and full-service boarding, where she has overseen daily operations for barns ranging from 15 to more than 40 horses. Heather has extensive hands-on experience managing all aspects of equine care, including feeding programs, turnout, grooming, arena maintenance, blanketing, medication administration, rehabilitation protocols, and coordination with veterinarians, farriers, and other equine professionals. Her experience also includes trailering, show preparation, professional body clipping and braiding services, and exercising horses in training programs. She is known for her meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to lead and support barn staff while maintaining a calm, consistent environment for both horses and people Heather holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Equine Studies with a concentration in Business Management from Centenary University, graduating summa cum laude, and completed a semester abroad in Equine Science at Hartpury College in England. She has also contributed to the broader equestrian community as a long-time volunteer and Dressage Chair for the Radnor Hunt Horse Trials. In addition to her management expertise, Heather is an accomplished rider. She has competed successfully through Fourth Level dressage, earned her USDF Bronze Medal, and achieved multiple championship honors, including the 2024 IALHA USDF All-Breeds Half-Andalusian Champion at First Level.
