Abby Tennity
Barn Manager

Abby Tennity is the Barn Manager for Gateway HorseWorks. Abby was  raised in Chester Springs, PA on her family farm. Abby has had a strong passion for caring for animals and created a deep connection to horses from a young age. She found that the best way to keep her mind quiet was to spend time with animals, observing them and seeing herself in them.

After her high school senior year ending due to COVID-19 , Abby decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Abby started working as a veterinary technician for Pickering Equine, a rehabilitation and mobile veterinary clinic run by Dr. Hope Batchelor. Abby helped manage and operate Dr. Batchelor’s clinic and had some of the top show horses in the country in her care.

After traveling for 3 years, Abby realized that she needed to find a place that grounded her and where she could do important work to help animals and those around her. Abby found Gateway HorseWorks and feels as though it is a perfect combination for her to be able to help others that are struggling and care for the horses that always brought her peace.
